Mil e Uma Noites (a thousand and one nights) is an exceptional wine made from exceptional grapes. A field blend planted for making port but now grown for table wines. Many varieties remain unidentified or forgotten.
The grapes are destemmed and foot trodden to extract the maximum flavours and then aged in new French oak. The result is a deep almost black colour with ripe plum and blueberry flavours, notes of violet, menthol, coffee and chocolate, slate, leather and caramel. It is full on the palate with smooth tannins, perfectly balanced with a very long finish.
Unfiltered for better ageing it is recommended that the wine is decanted 1 to 2 hours before drinking.
